Standard Terms and Conditions of Involvement
We will offer your client an appointment for examination to take place within 4 weeks of the date of instruction.
We will notify you of the appointment letter sent to your client.
If your client cancels an appointment giving less than 48 hours' notice, or fails to attend, we will charge the full hourly rate for each team member allocated to the appointment (N.B. appointments usually last 3-4 hours), plus any expenses incurred.
If a team member is asked to appear as an expert witness in a subsequent court case, the fee will be £400+VAT per half day, plus expenses, per team member.
If, having required attendance at a hearing, such attendance is cancelled with less than four weeks' notice, 50% of the fees for the whole of the allotted time will be payable. If we receive less than seven days' notice the whole of our fees for the allotted time will be payable.
Fees for attending a case conference will be £200+VAT per hour including travelling time.
Mileage will be charged at 40p per mile.
Fees are not subject to assessment and are not dependent upon the outcome of the case.
All fee notes are payable within 30 days of delivery regardless of the method by which your client is funding his/her claim. We reserve the right to charge interest for late payment, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debt Act.
