A full multidisciplinary assessment — what it involves

 

Pain is a complex subject and The Pain Consultancy will provide a comprehensive report detailing the current state of your client and explaining how they have reached this state with respect to their pre-accident condition. To fully describe this process requires a detailed assessment of the physiological and psychological changes that have occurred as a result of the index accident. The report will also consider treatment options and prognosis.

    Because of the influence of previous medical history (physical and psychological history, use of medical services etc) on pain perception and self management, notes prior to the accident (GP & others) must be examined in full.

* The team discussion report highlights areas that may be open to different interpretations and allows the reader to follow the reasoning behind the final conclusions. The summary report draws all parts of the assessment together to create the final opinion and is presented in "executive summary" style – usually less than 1 side of A4.
